Today I went spelunking in my attic and found some old NES carts. I will soon refurbish my NES and will need something to play. Since I don't want to put dirty carts into my refurbished system, I'm going to clean all my games before playing them again.
I noticed there are two types of screws holding the cartridges together. One type can be removed with a small screwdriver I found lying around. I used the screw driver to open up SMB. Here's a picture
This is actually the first time I've ever opened a cartridge. I'm going to clean SMB first because I know I will want to play it soon after getting the NES working again. Later I will clean the other carts that have the weird looking screws. I ordered a gameBit a few days ago but it's not here yet. I might just make my own. That could make a cool video.
